Pacers president Kevin Pritchard was clearly agitated at Paul George and the way things have gone down since last Friday. According to Pritchard, he hasn’t had any direct conversation with George since it was revealed he didn’t want to play in Indiana any longer. George’s agent, Aaron Mintz, was the one who informed Pritchard about the NBA player’s decision, and it came as a shock to the team.

Brandon Allen Authentic Jersey Monday’s game was scoreless until Florida (51-19) loaded the bases in the fourth inning and grabbed a 1-0 lead on Austin Langworthy’s sacrifice fly to score shortstop Dalton Guthrie. That was followed by a two-run ground-rule double off the bat of Gators third baseman Jonathan India.
The Tigers (52-19) got on the board when left fielder Antoine Duplantis homered in the sixth. After center fielder Zach Watson was hit by a pitch two batters later, he scored on Beau Jordan’s RBI single to bring LSU within a run.
The Gators got that run back in the seventh as Langworthy scored on Mike Rivera’s single up the middle.
LSU third baseman Josh Smith pushed another run across the plate, but was called out at second while trying to stretch his shot to right-center into a double. It was a controversial play, but not reviewable under CWS rules. It was the second out of the inning and Jordan grounded out to end the inning with the Tigers still trailing by a run.
The winner of Game 1 has gone on to win the national championship 10 times since the NCAA switched to a best-of-three format in 2003. The Gators will have a chance to close out the series in Tuesday’s Game 2, which has an 8 p.m. ET start.
